Tummy Time

I finally figured out how to upload videos from my digital camera. (I'm still trying to upload flix from cell phone) Check out this "3-4 weeks old" video of AJ during tummy time.

Thanx 2 Georgy reminding me, Aiden gets 5 minutes on his tummy daily to strengthen his chest and arm muscles in preparation for crawling and rolling. Keep in mind that this video is old....my strong little man can do much more now. Oh yeah, he is much cuter now too.

Doctor Visit Update

Aiden is my little brave soldier. He got his shots today and he did not cry. He only fussed a bit, many seconds after being poked by the needles.

I have the cutest video of him in the doctors office waiting for his shots but could not upload it due to technical difficulties. Stay tuned.

He weighs 10.13 pds.

Caught In Action

I finally caught him smiling on camera. Doesn't his smile make your day? Look at this whenever you need cheering up. Works for me!

Adventures in Babysitting

Lalla watched the brouzins the first day I went back to work. Aiden was not happy about my departure. Lalla says that Justin tried to console my son after I left.

Georgy watched them the second day and was glad when they both fell asleep. I am not exactly sure what was going on ... it looks like they are boxing each other...perhaps in their sleep? I hate that I was not there.

Sleeping Through The Night

Hooray! Aiden slept from 10:30 pm to 6 am. It felt too good to be true. I kept waking up because I am used to being up every 2-3 hours.
AJ's doctor shared a trick that works. Babies sleep longer in their cars seats. I started putting him in his car seat, inside his crib, a few days ago. Each day he slept longer than the day before and last night totalled 8 hours.
This was just in time for me to return to work. I was sad to leave him and missed him all day. Regular photo messages from Aunty Lalla and phone calls with progress reports got me through the day.

Grandpa Smitty's Retirement Party

Grandpa retired after almost 40 years teaching. AJ met relatives on his side of the family for the first time. Hopefully grandpa can spend his new found time teaching him to play the piano and sing. AJ will be the next prodigy.

Go Ninny!

AJ graduated from lactation class today. No more bottle vs ninny. It took a little under 3 weeks and he is finally over his bottle addiction. We love breast feeding(ninny).

Bottle Vs Ninny

I have not given up on nursing Aiden despite our obsticals. I had a private session with a lactation consultant today and she is very hopefull. She says Aiden is a star and will be nursing all the time soon. After 7 weeks he loves his "ninny". He just needs to give up his "bottle" addiction.

Oh yeah, and she weighed him................9.12 pds. He loves to eat!

Anyone who knows me, knows who my favorite artist is.............Beyonce! Her concert was Saturday so I had to attend. This was my first time leaving AJ over 2 hours. It was difficult to leave just like the first time but I needed to get away....and for a good reason - Beyonce rocked the house!
